Rapid Response Capabilities:
SFI is able to effectively provide additional officers and service to our clients on short term notice because we plan in advance and place an emphasis on anticipating the security needs of every client. Utilizing our resources, we are able to respond with various levels of additional service depending on our client’s need. SFI is well experienced, positioned, and staffed to meet our clients’ “as needed” coverage and emergency requirements, and continues to develop and refine these capabilities.
- Reserve Duty Officers: To accommodate small, short-term emergencies or after-hours requests, our district staff maintains a supply of Reserve Duty Officers (RDOs) trained, on-call, and ready to respond immediately as they are needed. They are also available to fill in for personnel on vacation, or those out with an illness. SFI immediately cross trains reserve staff following our transition of services to any new customer and continually maintains a suitable reserve staff at all times.
Special Emergency Response Teams: In order to add value to each client's security program and to enhance client relationships, we have developed Security Emergency Response Teams (SERTs) that can address potential emergency situations. With more than 150 officers available, these teams are capable of providing rapid deployment, administering aid, protecting people, information and property, and reducing or eliminating a client’s business interruption because of security issues. Every team member is carefully selected, equipped and trained. Each is fluent in communicating situations rapidly and accurately. Their distinctive uniforms and equipment make them stand out from the average security officer. Our SERT teams have responded to numerous major storms (both hurricanes and ice storms) as well as labor strikes, facility closings and workplace violence situations.
SFI maintains a successful partnership with a national emergency response company, Special Response Corporation (SRC). SRC specializes in crisis/ heightened vulnerability services nationally, and will provide either sole security or supplement existing security as necessary during critical times. In the past, SRC has supplemented SFI officers with as many as 100 additional personnel during major events. Additionally, they can provide any of the equipment needed during a deployment to include cameras, video recorders, cots and canteens. SRC has coast to coast capabilities and relationships in almost every state.
